Welcome to Branford High School, Home of the Hornets!

A group of seven people pose together in front of a red backdrop with white text.

At Branford High School, we are dedicated to fostering a learning environment rooted in shared values and a collective commitment to growth. We believe a thriving community begins with each member taking ownership of their role in building a safe, supportive, and collaborative culture. Through the implementation of the Leader in Me framework and the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, we are helping students and adults develop the habits and dispositions needed to lead, learn, and contribute.

BHS is committed to "Improved Learning for Everyone" and to developing passionate, lifelong learners who will succeed in an ever-changing world. We maintain high expectations for academic achievement, personal integrity, and respect while continually evolving our learning opportunities for all students. Our Program of Studies reflects this commitment, with new and refined offerings across STEM and the Humanities. Through partnerships with our community, we have also expanded career pathways, dual-credit opportunities, and authentic experiences that connect learning to life beyond BHS.

We also believe that strong schools are built through strong communication, meaningful feedback, and recognition of what we value. Throughout the year, we proudly celebrate the accomplishments of our students and staff; highlighting excellence in the classroom, on the stage, on the field, and in service to others. These moments remind us of the remarkable talent, dedication, and character throughout our school community.

We invite you to experience the true spirit of BHS by attending an upcoming game, performance, or celebration of student excellence.

Sincerely,

Lee Panagoulias, Jr.
