BPS Summer Program Details
Dear BPS Families,
We are excited to share that the Branford Public Schools will offer summer programming for students in current grades 9-11. The goal is to provide students with opportunities to engage in continuous learning throughout the month of July. This summer there will be important programmatic shifts:
Credit Recovery: Students in grades 9-11 will once again have the opportunity to restore credit that has been lost due to attendance or failing grades. This programming will either be taught live with a BPS certified teacher or on Edmentum online platform with the support of a BPS certified teacher. This program will remain free of charge to BHS students and enrollment will be by invitation only.

Credit Enhancement: This option is designed for students who have passed a course but may need additional support to be successful in the next level. Courses are taught by certified teachers, and students may earn up to a C- on their transcript. Fee: $100*

Available courses include:
Math: Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II
Science: Biology
English: English 9, English 10
World Language: Spanish 1, Spanish 2

Geometry Credit Advancement: This course is designed for students who would like to advance to Algebra II as a sophomore (in lieu of doubling up next school year) or a student who would like to get back on pace and enter Algebra II junior year. This course will be visible on the transcript and count as credit toward graduation but will not be calculated as part of the GPA as per board policy. Fee: $245*
SAT Boot Camp: This course is designed for students currently in grade 10 who desire to deepen their level of understanding of testing strategies and ELA/Math content. This program is free of charge for current BHS sophomores.
